The Loveday Singers

We are delighted to welcome the ever-popular Loveday Singers to St. Peter’s for our opening concert of this year’s series. The Loveday Singers are a choir of young adults who sing in a variety of styles from sacred vocal music to musical theatre and arrangements of popular songs. They bring with them vitality and spirit, which together with their musicality makes their concerts a very refreshing and uplifting experience.

The concert will begin at 7:30 pm. Advance tickets cost £7.50 and £5 for concessions and can be bought by following the links below. On the door prices are £9 and £6 for concessions.

The Point is a vibrant, welcoming centre for contemporary arts performance and participation. It hosts a programme packed full of dance, theatre, film, music, festivals and family shows. There is also a creative learning programme that reaches out to all parts of the local community, running over 30 dance classes a week for a variety of ages, the Elders Share Arts programme which takes place across the borough of Eastleigh and a host of activity that takes place in schools and colleges. The Point is also home to The Point’s Youth Theatre and Youth Dance Company.

The Point provides a unique meeting place for artists and audiences and is a space which embraces an array of viewpoints, purposes and practices in an environment in which everyone who takes part can be challenged and inspired through creative endeavour.  It is also home to a dozen performance and creative industries companies from early stage and emerging artists to those with a regional and national profile.

A night of 50’s music and vintage stalls…….

This thrilling show encompasses a wide range of musical styles to present a
spectacle of rich African culture.

You will be taken on a journey to experience Maskandi (traditional Zulu music), afro-jazz and long established Zulu songs and psalms.

The cast will also use various genres of customary dance and dramatisation to tell their tales of this exciting spiritual culture.

Don’t miss this exciting journey into African dance and culture!!

Due to popular demand, Cuban salsa finally comes to Worcester!!!!!

We are over the moon to welcome Uli Carr Mont from Havana, Cuba, who will be taking us through some of the basic steps and body movements essential for good Cuban technique and style (from 4-5pm)

From 5pm DJ Robert Jessop will be hitting the decks, playing all the latest and greatest Cuban tracks around. Freestyling til 8pm!! Ahi na ma!

Cuban salsa enthusiasts, this is the new place to be on Sunday afternoons! Top quality timba and reggaeton (with a few ruedas thrown in for good measure!!)

If you’re new to this all..just one thing..get ready to have a great time! (And no… you don’t need to bring a partner.)

For terrified beginners to seasoned singers – come and find the natural voice just bursting to get out of you.

Come join the ‘Recycled Beats’ drummers in a noisy and energetic day of junk percussion building and playing.

All materials provided but do bring any clean, good-sounding rubbish and rhythm ideas of your own to incorporate as well if you like.

11am to 3pm, parents and families welcome to return at 2.45 to hear the final crescendo of crazy beats.

For youngsters aged 6-18 of all abilities/musical experiences.
