What people have been saying:

“…potty mouth poetry at its best…an amazing production!”

“It is superb…make sure you see it.”

“Fab! Great acting…”

“A superb production…highlight of the festival.”

“The performance of East in the Rose Studio was on the best things I’ve seen in a long time.

“…definitely those who didn’t see it should head down now.”

About the company:

byMoonlight formed in the Summer of 2010 and last year put on two successful productions at the Lion & Unicorn: Gentlemen’s Barber written and directed by Andy Currums (the company’s resident playwright) and Terrorism by the Presnyakov Brothers, directed by Wayne Hughes. The Giant Olive Theatre Company was so impressed that they offered us an extra week’s run of Terrorism. Survivors by Andy Currums premiered at the International Youth Arts Festival in July 2011 to thrilled audiences.

Following their success, byMoonlight are now delighted to present a dynamic take on the modern classic East. byMoonlight provides a forum for young talented actors to explore modern classics with an exciting and energetic approach – using movement, dance, mime and song – thrilling the senses and grabbing the emotions. This highly talented company’s interpretation of East relies heavily on Berkoff’s rhythms, character dynamics and soulful wit – interpolated with music and movement – there is no reserve and no embarrassment!

As result of their sell-out run at the Rose Theatre Studio, byMoonlight performed at the New Wimbledon Theatre Studio which was again a sell-out success. The cornerHOUSE Community Arts Venue gave them another forum to present East, which had them queuing at the door! East is now returning for a second time to the cornerHOUSE for two nights only. Don’t miss out!
